If you’re looking for something to do in California besides the Disney or beach thing, be sure to consider taking a tour of California wine country. Even if you don’t happen to be a huge wine fan, the sheer beauty of this region will thrill you and who knows, you just might happen to become a true wine connoisseur by the time you’re finished.
There are plenty of wineries throughout this region to visit, so narrowing down the best places to spend your time might be the most difficult part of your journey. While the region is well known for the abundance of wineries, you might be surprised to learn that there were less than 2 dozen wineries in existence in the area just thirty or so years ago. Today there are more than 200 wineries in operation.
In addition to touring the wineries and sampling the wonderful wines produced in this region, while you’re here be sure to take advantage of the other relaxing activities offered throughout this region. Take a mud bath, enjoy a full service spa, let yourself be taken away with a balloon ride or simply enjoy a superb dinner at one of the many fantastic restaurants.
