If you have a hankering to load up the kids (and granny too) and head to Beverly, be sure to check out a few of the other great places in California to visit. Our trip there was filled with plenty of exciting things to do and see. The only problem was that there wasn’t nearly enough time to cram in everything we wanted to do, so we’ll definitely be going back.
Below is a list of some of the things to do while in the area:
· Disneyland Resort- Of course, a visit to California wouldn’t be complete without a trip to Disney. Afterall, California practically is Disney, at least in the minds of some people. Whether you’re visiting for the first time as an adult or bringing along the kids for a dream vacation, this is still a perfect place to spend a few days.
· Napa Valley Wine Train-Looking for something a little more laid back? Enjoy a gourmet dinner aboard a lavishly restored 1915 Pullman dining and lounge car. Enjoy relaxing while journeying through the picturesque Napa Valley 1:place>. For information call: (800)427-4124
· San Diego Zoo-This is one of the best places to see many of the world's most rare and exotic animals and plants. The only pair of giant pandas in the U.S even call this place home. Definitely worth the stop. Wear a good pair of walking shoes.
· Warner Bros. Studio Tour-This is the only place you can get a tour of a working studio along with a museum. Here you can visit backlot sets and even see the costumes and filming of some of your favorite shows. Just be aware that kids under 8 aren’t allowed and you can only take photos of certain portions. Due to limited hours and availability, it’s best if you can make a reservation.
· Six Flags Magic Mountain/Six Flags Hurricane Harbor –If you’re into thriller rides, you won’t want to miss this one. Features some of the most heart stopping rides we’ve ever been on. When the weather is hot, be sure to stop by Hurricane Harbor next door to play in the waterpark. Try to plan it so that Hurricane Harbor is your last stop of the day, though, so that you don’t have to walk around wet. Or bring a change of clothing.
