If you’re looking for a travel experience that will provide something out of the ordinary, nothing delivers quite like China Travel. An extremely large land mass, one visit to China will provide an enchanting look into the fascinating past of this beautiful country as well as allow you to experience the sophisticated culture of the present.
When planning your China travel, it’s a good idea to keep some general information about the climate of China in mind. The best times of year to visit China are the spring and autumn. These seasons run from March to April and September to October. During these times of year you can expect the average daily temperatures to hover between 68 and 86 degrees. Don’t forget; however, that the nights in China can be quite cold. Due to the high levels of precipitation this can result in a miserable visit if you don’t come prepared. Because of this it’s a good idea to always bring a coat or sweater as well as raingear.
If you’ve listened to the news or weather reports lately, you’ll know that certain regions in China are prone to landslide and extreme flooding resulting from the annual typoons. A typhoon can occur due to long periods of rain and is typically experienced in the northeast and central provinces of China. If you are planning to visit areas near the Yangze, Huai or Shonghua rivers; you should make it a point to check on things in advance. Be sure to get an updated weather report and find out if there has bee
n any property or road damage that could affect your trip. The typhoons typically occur between July and September each year.
You should also keep major Chinese holidays in mind when planning your China travel. If your trip happens to coincide with a major Chinese holiday, you may well find it difficult to find accommodation or transportation services. Of course, the biggest holiday in China is the Chinese New Year; which occurs at varying times. Be sure to check the calendar before you book your trip.
During the winter, the temperatures in China can reach as low as 17 degrees, so it’s good to keep this in mind when packing for your trip. Always remember to bring a good, warm coat, gloves and sturdy boots if you are planning to visit during the winter months. Also keep in mind that you may stay warmer if you dress in layers.
Conversely, the summer months in certain areas of China can be rather hot and dry. In the Turpan the temperatures can surprisingly reach as high as 117 during the summer. Don’t let these hot temperatures fool you about the winter; however. The temperatures in this same region can easily be frigidly cold.
Regardless of when you plan your China travel, you can rest assured that your trip will be much more pleasurable and less prone to unpleasant surprises if you check the weather conditions first and pack accordingly.
