First of all, if you've never been, GO! Joshua Tree is located roughly 100 miles or so southeast of Los Angeles in the Mojave Desert. J-Tree is in the high desert, meaning that it has plant life, animals and many oasis's throughout. There are many things to do in J-Tree. Many places to camp,hike and just be. There are several amazing rock formations all throughout the park. It kinda looks like you just landed on Mars or something...amazing! When in town you can visit Canyon Coffee Co. located near Pioneer Town, west of the first park entrance on Highway 62.
Also, take a gander at the Harmony Motel
