Lake Tahoe

North America » California
Author: Jan

Lake Tahoe is one of the most famous places for avid skiers.  As newly taught snowboarders, my husband and I spent a few days mastering the latest in snow trends at Tahoe’s exclusive and pristine Squaw Valley.  Mastering the snowboard became a daunting task to the both of us who have never challenged the snow on anything other than skis.  After a few lessons, lots of practice and many falls, we felt like pros.

The accommodations at Lake Tahoe range depending on personal preference.  I am more of a room service kind of person but there are those who aren’t.  When my mom is able to travel to Tahoe, she spends her time camping at under the cover of the abundant evergreens.  I prefer the accommodations in the f

orm of a hotel.  There are numerous luxury suites and hotel rooms that meet any budget.  It is all about preference and budget, but definitely something for everyone.

Whether it is snow or sun you are looking for, truly it can all be found in Tahoe.  The sunshine in Lake Tahoe is the perfect way to spend a nice afternoon, relaxing in the sun while boating, swimming or fishing on the lake.  The winter is host to magnificent skiing and all sorts of winter activities.  If you come at the right time, you may also be able to check out the wonderful farmer’s market and craft faire.  Local farmers and artists, proud of their bounties are all over selling the goods to the tourists and locals.
