Introduction
Camaguey is Cuba's third largest city and has some colonial monuments and museums. The town has an irregular street pattern so finding your way can be difficult.
How to get to Camaguey, Cuba from Santiago
There's an Astro bus leaving at 15.20 costing 12,5 US$.
Viazulbus service : intermediate stop from the bus Havana-Santiago-Havana. For more info look at general info 1 (link to website Viazulbuswebsite).
You can catch the nighttrain Havana-Santiago-Havana at the local station.
In both cases (train and bus) make sure you have reservations. Train and bus will arrive late at night or even midnight.
Where to stay in Camaguey
We stayed in a casa particular which is not really recommended. The room and bathroom was dirty, and breakfast consisted of eggs with roasted ants!!
What to do in Camaguey, Cuba
There's not so much to do for the tourist. The only positive thing is that it can give you an idea of what real Cuban life is:
empty shops and restaurants that cannot offer any meals.

Casa de la Trova - A place where you can get all kind of drinks that exist, including sodas, and word renamed beers (specially American) is in the
hotel Plaza of Camaguey, right across the train station where tourist have an office to arrange for travel using that system. The public relation guy in the hotel, help people with all kind of question.
