We?ve traveled to San Marcos several times over the past few years and I never get tired of going there. Of course, one huge part of that could be the fact that they have absolutely one of the largest factory outlet malls in the entire country. I mean, this place is just massive. The first time we went there, which has been about ten years ago I guess, I thought the place was huge but they?ve just kept adding on year after year.

San Jose was a really great place to visit because you can find just about anything you might want right there. On one hand, there?s definitely a sense of history and it was easy to see that the Spanish culture is still very strong there. At the same time, there is definitely a contemporary and cultured influence. San Jose has a symphony, ballet and repertory theatre as well as several museums and plenty of activities downtown for entertaining nightlife.

If you have a hankering to load up the kids (and granny too) and head to Beverly, be sure to check out a few of the other great places in California to visit. Our trip there was filled with plenty of exciting things to do and see. The only problem was that there wasn?t nearly enough time to cram in everything we wanted to do, so we?ll definitely be going back.
