JETT buses for Amman leave in front of the excavations of Ayla, on the road to the Aqaba Hotel and the Aquamarina I hotel. They leave at 7 am, 9 am, 10 am, 3 pm and 3.30 pm. The trip takes 4 hours and costs 4 JD. There are minibuses to Petra and Wadi Rum leaving from the market in Aqaba. The trip to Petra costs 3 JD, to Wadi Rum 1,5 JD. There is a ferry (3 hour trip leaving at 3 pm, 19 US$) and a catamaran (1 hour trip leaving at noon, 27 US$ (7/98)) to Nuweiba. Delays are frequent for the ferry. Fees have to be paid for in cash US$.
