Arizona-Where the West Meets the True West
North America
» United States
When it comes to finding the true meaning of the old West, nowhere knows that truth better than Arizona. While we found the state itself to be fairly massive in terms of things to see and do, if there?s one thing that Arizona reigns supreme in, it is certainly Western. We began our Arizona vacation with one of the natural wonders of this beautiful state, the Saguaro National monument. read more

A few summers ago we visited the U.S. capital and I have to say that of all the places we?ve visited, and there have been a lot, that this was the best vacation we?ve ever had. Not only was the weather there great, but there were so many things to see and do that we weren?t able to see nearly all of them! In fact, we can?t wait to go back. In addition, it worked well on our travel budget, which was limited at the time because a lot of the sites are absolutely free to visit because they are government landmarks. read more

Connecticut

Most people don?t think of Connecticut as being a very exciting place to visit but we were pleasantly surprised on our one trip to this quaint little state. Not only is there plenty of things to see and do that will keep you busy during your stay here, but it is also a very picturesque state, so if you?re into photography, be sure to bring along lots of film or memory cards because you?ll be sure to take lots of shots while you?re here. read more

Natchitoches

If you?re ever in eastern Louisiana and want to visit a place that is not like any other, then you must make a stop by Natchitoches. As towns go, this one is relatively small; however, it?s a great place to soak up Louisiana culture. The Cane River meanders lazily through the middle of town and pretty much sets the tone for this laid back Louisiana charmer. read more

The magnificent San Luis Valley

Southwestern Colorado is a land of awe- inspiring vistas and breath taking freedom. With plenty of elbowroom and a feeling that anything is possible, the San Luis Valley is one of the least populated areas in the state of Colorado.
