Vietnam Tourism

Asia » Vietnam
Author: Koen

This chapter gives info on the center of Vietnam. This is a popular region among tourists, especially Hoi An is worth a visit, but we were also surprised by the beautiful tombs along the Perfume River in Hue.

Also, both Hue and Hoi An are places where you can eat superbly for very few Dongs.

Unfortunately, this part of the country is also known for its terrible weather. The rainy season starts from October till January, and floodings are not uncommon. From January till September, typhoons can sometimes pass. Also, unlike the South

were rains are often heavy but short, it can rain days on end here. Nevertheless, we were very lucky and had great weather, so don't despair.

Hoi An: with info on buying clothes, the best restaurants, and the best hotels in town

Danang: with info on the Cham museum etc...

Hue: with info on the marvellous tombs along the Perfume river (including warnings for a scam going on there), the best hotels and great restaurants.
