What to do
Horse-riding : Around Las Tunas are a lot of small farms where the peasants breed the longhorn-cattle. A traveller reports that the farm workers offered him a 6 hour horse-ride through the beautiful valleys dotted with groups of cows. The saddles are of good quality. After the ride they even refuse to get paid. Finally, they accepted a few rounds of beer (cerveza) and rum in return. The evening ended with a pork roasted on a fire and more…..beers.
The beach (black sands) of Guayabal : , The region has very economical prices and satisfactory food. The place is too isolated for the average tourist, but when one get there (only by car, no buses) they offer all kind of services and attentions.
