Koen's itinerary 5/97
We spent a bit less then 2 weeks in Java. One thing we did underestimate were the long distances. As mentioned in the &
quot;General info"-section, public transport by bus can be very slow.
However, Java hosts some sights which you shouldn't miss like: Prambanan temple Borobudur temple Mount Bromo This is the itinerary we had (click on the mentioned town or city to get more information):
- Arrival at Jakarta airport By train to Bandung and further by bus to Cipanas near Garut
- By taxi to Papandayan volcano and further to Kampung Naga, then by bus to Pangandaran
- Pangandaran to Yogyakarta
-
Yogyakarta - Visit of Prambanan and Boko temple
- Visit with overnight stay of
Borobudur temple
- Visit of the water palace Visit of neigbouring villages by bike
-
Dieng plateau - Yogyakarta to
Mount Bromo - Mount Bromo to Bali
